UHL’s involvement in this project began
in 1995, when it conducted the first of
seven seasons of excavation on the farm.
UHL carried out the major research for
the clothing, houses, synagogue, animal
pens and many other aspects of daily life
illuminated today at Nazareth Village, based
on literary, archaeological and ethnographic
sources. The hard work of UHL faculty
and staff, coupled with the hard work and
dedication of the staff at Nazareth Village
itself, have resulted in a must-see experience
for all visitors to the Holy Land.
