              Here’s a suggested itinerary for a three-day
trip in the Golan Heights that will give you
a tantalizing taste of the many wonderful
options this area has to offer – and provide a
great start for planning your next visit, too.

Day One – From the Beginning

The best place to start your trip in the Golan
is at Kesem Hagolan, which gives you a
thrilling multisensory experience of the Golan
Heights (Tel: 04-696-3625). Feel the spray of
the waterfalls and the chill of the mountains,
smell the blossoming wildflowers at the IMAX
presentation. Then visit the beautifully detailed
3D model to hear the story of the Golan – its
geology, history, military history and more –
              with special sound-and-light effects.

All Seasons The Golan has an abundance of
archaeological findings that testify to more
than 2,000 years of Jewish settlement in the
              area: remains of synagogues, doorframes
              with mezuzot and decorations incorporating
various Jewish symbols. Thus a visit to
the Golan will always include a fascinating
encounter with one archaeological site or
              another.

Such an encounter awaits you at the Golan
              Antiquities Museum, an archaeology museum
