souvenirs. End your day with a visit to
Gordon’s Calvary, which has a garden
and a tomb just like the Bible describes
the place where Jesus was crucified
and buried. Another option for today
is an exciting walk through the ancient
water tunnel King Hezekiah built, ending
at the Siloam Pool where Jesus healed
a blind man.
Day 7: A great adventure is waiting
for you today, as you take part in a real carrier pigeon to take with you and release
archaeological dig at Beit Govrin
National Park. You’ll also be at the Elah it returns to Genesisland, the people there
Valley, the exact place where David
fought Goliath and you can plan to
recreate the story as a play in which
you all take part. This afternoon, back
in Jerusalem, you may consider a visit
to Yad Vashem, the Holocaust museum
where children 12 and older will be
able to take a special tour with an
educator and the younger children will
have an alternative activity.
Day 8: This day takes you to the lowest
place on earth: the Dead Sea. You can
take the cable-car to the top of the
rocky hilltop fortress of Masada to
explore the palace of Herod and see

Elevator, a thrilling simulator ride that takes
you back to Jerusalem in the days of
Jeremiah the Prophet and the First Temple.
Day 10: If you’re on a tour with several
other families, today is a free day in
Jerusalem before heading for home. You
can pick another special site to visit, like
the Biblical Zoo, the Tower of David
Museum or the Israel Museum Youth Wing,
with its hands-on activities for the younger
set, and a huge scale model of ancient
Jerusalem. And don't forget some last-
minute shopping for more special made-
in-Israel gifts for friends and family.
Whether you’re traveling as a family or with
a larger group, your local travel planner will

reservations for you at all the sites mentioned
in this itinerary, as well as all other
arrangements. For smaller groups, this will
include arranging a rental car or minivan
for one or two families, or a driver-guide.

On the way back to Jerusalem you’ll visit

You can also ride camels, and write letters
with ancient-style quills using the old Hebrew
alphabet, and mail them to your friends.
The over-12s can try their hand at herding
sheep the way children in Bible days used
to do, with alternate activities for the
younger crowd. You may even be given a

Day 9: In the morning you’ll visit Mini
Israel, a theme park of detailed miniature

an olive oil factory where you can press
your own olives and learn how people
produced oil for anointing, light and cooking
